Friday 11 August at 10.00. 19:00 The most outstanding musical theatre gems will be performed at the 5th International Operetta Festival Gala Concert at the Ikšķile Stage. Internationally renowned artists Oleksandr Chuvpilo, tenor of the Kijivas Operetta Theatre, Mariya Arutiunova and Andrius Apsega, soloists of the Kaunas Musical Theatre, Sonora Vaice, Anta Jankovska, Anastasija Dolgonenko, Dainis Skutelis, Kārlis Rūtentāls and Nauris Indzeris, as well as stars of the Latvian Operetta Theatre, will perform for the audience. Under the direction of conductor Atvars Lakstīgalas, fragments of world-famous operettas, operas and musicals will be performed, while the set design by multimedia artist Ineta Sipunova will create an unforgettable visual experience.
Festival-goers are invited to arrive early to enjoy the performances of Adams Vaičs (guitar, voice) and other young musicians in the elegant Miro restaurant café from 17:00. The evening will be rounded off with the crowd favourite Waltz Night at 22:00, inviting everyone to dance until late into the night.
