This year, the 6th International Operetta Festival will mark the tenth anniversary of the Operetta Theatre and will focus on the wide range of soloists from the company in a varied programme tailored to different audiences.

We invite you to arrive early to enjoy the delicacies of the BRANDINS restaurant’s musical café, discover the IKŠKILES SWEET variety created especially for the festival and taste the cocktails of world champion Stas Jonāns while immersing yourself in a jazz symphony created by young artist-musicians.

- 28 July, 16:00 – Festival prelude “VIVAT!” (St. Meinards Ev.lut. Church, Ikšķile)
- 3 August, 20:00 – Jubilee Gala Concert “Celebrate Operetta!” (Ikšķile open-air stage)
- August 3, 23:00 – Romantic Evening of Waltzes (Ikšķile Open-Air Stage)
The visual design of the gala concert will be created by the internationally renowned multimedia artist and scenographer Ineta Sipunova. The concert will be directed by Mārtiņš Kagainis, choreographed by Ieva Kemlere, costume designed by Vita Radziņa, and art directed by Agija Ozoliņa-Kozlovska.
“This year’s festival programme focuses on the anniversary aspect of the Operetta Theatre, reviewing what has been achieved in these ten years, on our – Latvian gems – our artists who have been faithful to you, dear audience, and to the idea of the Operetta Theatre all these years,” says Agija Ozoliņa-Kozlovska, the festival’s creative director.
