The naughty bunny Pauk, who lives in the Ozolaine Forest, always has his head full of ideas and foolishness, but the wise man Šmauks helps him to realise them, because two heads are smarter than one, aren’t they?! Life is full of fun, silliness and surprises, but every one of their fun activities, which are always well-intentioned, ends rather sadly…
The bunnies don’t hang their heads and are ready to make amends (how familiar, right?…), and … Paukam is again – “I-D-E-J-A!” A new adventure begins… What will it bring for the forest dwellers?
Anyway – bunnies have the most important, greatest value – a good heart! That is why this story ends well and they are forgiven.
A Broadway-style song play based on the popular fairy tale “Pooh and Schmuck” by Enida Blayton. The expressive movement choreography, the vivid costume concept and the set design of the Ozolaine forest environment will delight both children of pre-school and younger grades, their parents and everyone who loves excitement, fun and has fond childhood memories.
Children’s songs by the great Latvian melodist Arvīds Žilinskis, which were popular in their time no less than the works of Raimonds Pauls or other melodists – “Rīta rosme”, “Dziesmiņa par mīļo māmiņu”, Kaķīts mans”, “Dziesma par slinko Jānīti”, “Pulkstens nine jau zvana” and many, many others will be sung by Artūrs Mangulis, Emīls Kivlenieks and Anastasija Vorobjova, who have already made a name for themselves in the operas Clevie and The Merry Widow, and Latvian Academy of Music students Sabīne Krilova, whom we know from the LTV show Radīti muzikai, Ansis Bētiņš, Emīls Klaužs, Valērija Koļago, Laura Purena, Laima Krīgere, Tatjana Kopača, Artūrs Zvirbulis, Vjačeslavs Aleksejevs, accompanied by pianist Madārs Kalniņš and a jazz band.
Valdis Lūriņš, the director of the production, says: “This will be a musical performance close to the world of childhood – an interplay with the little spectators and their parents – games, friends, search for experiences and adventures, premature independence, loneliness and the return home when” gloves, socks and boots are snoozing in the corner “, where a dear mother sings a song for sleep. The story will be about the good that always conquers the evil!”
Various activities for children
In the courtyard of Tīnūži Manor, children were greeted by various activities that delighted the little ones until the start of the performance. Face painting, balloon twisting, which the masters transformed into various animals. The little ones could also try their hand at creative workshops, making windmills, jewellery and painting stones, as well as having their photo taken in the guise of Pooh and Smaug.
