The 3rd International Operetta Festival in Ikšķilė brought together lovers of the operetta genre for three days, offering a varied programme for both adults and children. The festival was distinguished by the participation of international artists, educational events and special attention to the younger generation. The festival combined concerts, educational formats and interactive activities to create a complete experience of the operetta genre.
The festival culminated with a grand Gala Concert at the Ikšķile Open-Air Stage, featuring soloists from Austria, Lithuania, Serbia, Italy, Israel and Latvia, performing the most beautiful operetta melodies accompanied by the Operetta Orchestra under the baton of conductor Atvars Lakstīgalas. Special attention was also paid to children with the interactive programme “Creating OPERETTES!”, where the young audience created elements of an operetta themselves.
The festival was organised by the Operetta Theatre and the Latvian Operetta Foundation in collaboration with the Ikšķile District Council, under the leadership of artistic director and producer Agija Ozoliņa-Kozlovska.
