The 7th International Operetta Festival in Ikšķilė offers a magnificent and versatile programme combining the classical operetta tradition with innovative jazz elements. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy three wonderful events – a musical prelude with young talents, a concert by the internationally acclaimed Peter Sarik Jazz Trio and a magnificent GALĀ Concert with artists from four countries.
Special guest of the festival – Peter Sarik Trio from Hungary – one of the leading jazz ensembles in Europe, twice winner of the Hungarian Grammy Award. The Trio’s concerts are characterised by their unique ability to combine classical music with jazz improvisation, creating an exciting musical journey that appeals to both seasoned jazz aficionados and listeners just discovering the genre.
The festival will culminate in the spectacular GALĀ Concert at the Ikšķile Open-Air Stage, featuring soloists from the Budapest, Kaunas, Zurich and Latvian Operetta Theatres, creating an unforgettable international musical celebration. After the concert, a romantic Waltz evening under the stars.
