The Operetta Theatre invites you to special New Year’s concerts “in BLUE”, combining the charm of classical operetta with the world of jazz and musicals. The programme includes the most beautiful excerpts from Johann Strauss’s operettas, capturing the elegance of Viennese waltzes and polkas, George Gershwin’s virtuoso Rhapsody in Blues for piano, as well as Leonard Bernstein’s highlights from his most famous musicals.
The concerts will feature outstanding soloists – internationally renowned soprano Anta Jankovska from Italy, striking Latvian soprano Laura Purena, versatile tenor Nauris Puntulis and charismatic baritone Nauris Indzeris. At the piano – virtuoso pianists Harijs Bašs (26, 30 December and 6 January) and Agnese Egliņa (29 December). The musicians will be accompanied by the Orchestra of Operetta under the baton of the talented conductor Guntars Bernāts.
This concert is the perfect festive gift for yourself and your loved ones – a musical journey that combines the nostalgia of classical operetta with the colourful world of jazz and musicals. We recommend that you attend from the age of 7.
