On Valentine’s Day, which is called the most romantic day of the year, Sonora Vaice, Nauris Indzeris and Jānis Kurševs will delight all those who feel young and loving at heart in a sparkling concert organised by the Latvian Operetta Foundation.

The programme will include popular beautiful operetta music and Neapolitan love songs! The concert will include works by Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár, Imre Kalman, Eduardo di Capua, Ernesto de Curtis and Luigi Denza.

The audience will be delighted by Johann Strauss’s polka “Lightning and Thunder” and waltz “Wine, Women and Song”, Rosalinda’s “Chardash” from the operetta “The Bat” performed by Sonora Vaice, Barinkaya’s “Couplets” and Homonoy’s “Chardash” from the operetta “The Gypsy Baron” sung by Naurs Indzers, Franz Lehár’s “You Own My Heart” from the operetta “Land of Smiles” interpreted by Jānis Kurševs.

The concert will also feature Gioacchino Rossini’s much-loved Cat Duet (Sonora Vaice and Nauris Indzeris), as well as famous Neapolitan songs – Mattinata (Dawn), O surdato ‘nnammurato (A soldier in love), “La Spagniola (The Beautiful Spaniard), Parlami d’amore Mariu (Speak of Love, Mariu), Torna a Surriento (Return to Sorrento), Funiculi funicula, O sole mio and many other romantic melodies.

The concert will be hosted by actor and master of humour Mārtiņš Egliens, with Guntars Bernāts at the conductor’s chair. Special festive surprises are also in store!
