One of the reasons for this is that all three members are open-minded and versatile musicians, so they can appeal to a much wider audience than most jazz bands.

The atmosphere of the group’s concerts is much more like a rock or pop concert, and the Peter Sarik Trio constantly attracts many new jazz fans thanks to its openness and power.

They perform regularly and successfully all over the world, repeatedly in London, Paris, Berlin, Helsinki, Moscow, Beijing, Istanbul, Almaty and Riga, demonstrating the power and potential of combining classical, jazz, tango and world music, while delighting audiences so that by the end of the concert both classical music and the musicians themselves are guaranteed to win new fans of the jazz genre.

The Trio specialises in jazz arrangements of classical and pop music, and their Bartok and Beethoven programme is also a great success.
They have won the Hungarian Grammy Award twice.
Each member of the Trio is an award-winning and acclaimed musician.

Free interplay, exciting musical journeys, fantastic energy and impulses – all combine in the JazzClass programme of the Peter Sarik Trio, which presents popular pieces from the classical literature in a new light.
In addition to violin, vocals, piano, double bass and drums, Peter Sarik’s specially arranged pieces also feature an unusual instrument – the theremin, which is believed to be the world’s first electric instrument.

The festival invites audiences to enjoy jazz standards and popular classical themes in unique, witty jazz transformations by Bartok, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Khachaturian and others, as well as operetta by Kalman.

Awards:

2023 – Petőfi Music Award: “Instrumental Artist of the Year”.
2023 – Phonogram Nomination (Hungarian Grammy): Peter Sarik Trio & Mariann Falusi: Hungarian Jazz Request Show No. 2.
