Despite the rainy weather, operetta lovers from Riga, Ik\u0161\u0137ile, Kandava, Daugavpils and even Liep\u0101ja proved that this genre still holds a special place in the hearts of the audience. The festival became an important milestone on the road to the revival of operetta and operetta theatre in Latvia.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival programme included a variety of events &#8211; from the heartfelt charity concert at the Ik\u0161\u0137ile Lutheran Church with Evita Z\u0101l\u012bte and Juris Vizbulis to the musical play \u201cPaukojam un \u0161maukojam\u201d by Valdis L\u016bri\u0146\u0161 in the yard of T\u012bnu\u017eu Manor, which delighted the young audience with the melodious songs and colourful costumes of Arv\u012bds \u017dilinskis. Festival-goers also enjoyed cosy \u201cConversations over a cup of coffee\u201d with operetta performers and an evening of waltzes with the Operetta Orchestra. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The festival was organised by the Latvian Operetta Foundation in collaboration with the Ik\u0161\u0137ile Municipality, marking a new tradition that continues today.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":6268,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-7173","festivals","type-festivals","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/festivals\/7173","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/festivals"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/festivals"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/6268"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=7173"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
