On Valentine’s Day, which is called the most romantic day of the year, Sonora Vaice, Nauris Indzeris and J\u0101nis Kur\u0161evs will delight all those who feel young and loving at heart in a sparkling concert organised by the Latvian Operetta Foundation.<\/p>\n\n
The programme will include popular beautiful operetta music and Neapolitan love songs! The concert will include works by Johann Strauss, Franz Leh\u00e1r, Imre Kalman, Eduardo di Capua, Ernesto de Curtis and Luigi Denza. <\/p>\n\n
The audience will be delighted by Johann Strauss’s polka \u201cLightning and Thunder\u201d and waltz \u201cWine, Women and Song\u201d, Rosalinda’s \u201cChardash\u201d from the operetta \u201cThe Bat\u201d performed by Sonora Vaice, Barinkaya’s \u201cCouplets\u201d and Homonoy’s \u201cChardash\u201d from the operetta \u201cThe Gypsy Baron\u201d sung by Naurs Indzers, Franz Leh\u00e1r’s \u201cYou Own My Heart\u201d from the operetta \u201cLand of Smiles\u201d interpreted by J\u0101nis Kur\u0161evs.<\/p>\n\n
The concert will also feature Gioacchino Rossini’s much-loved Cat Duet (Sonora Vaice and Nauris Indzeris), as well as famous Neapolitan songs – Mattinata (Dawn), O surdato ‘nnammurato (A soldier in love), “La Spagniola (The Beautiful Spaniard), Parlami d’amore Mariu (Speak of Love, Mariu), Torna a Surriento (Return to Sorrento), Funiculi funicula, O sole mio and many other romantic melodies.<\/p>\n\n
The concert will be hosted by actor and master of humour M\u0101rti\u0146\u0161 Egliens, with Guntars Bern\u0101ts at the conductor’s chair. Special festive surprises are also in store! <\/p>\n\n
