The programme, dedicated to the centenary of Latvia, includes songs by Latvian composers that we love and that are popular with the audience. The performance highlights the entire genre spectrum of the Operetta or Musical Theatre repertoire – operetta, musicals, film and theatre. <\/p>\n\n
Youth, sorrow, faith, pain, love, disappointment, pain, joy – that is life. Life? Or theatre? Which is truer – life or theatre? Operetta, musical theatre, lifts us above everyday life, takes us out of it and helps us to live, to survive, to experience and, with a positively sparkling and rich emotional charge, to go further in the game of life. <\/p>\n\n
The tonic freshness of mint, which both invigorates and soothes in different situations in life, embodies the main idea of this performance and runs through this music and dance piece. The always young operetta soloists will tell, sing and dance a musical life story through the language of song, movement and costume and will lead you \u201cThrough the City\u201d (Ivars V\u012bgners), \u201cTo Riga, Riga, Riga\u201d (Imants Kalni\u0146\u0161) and \u201cTo the Countryside\u201d (Ivars V\u012bgners). <\/p>\n\n
\u201cIn my eyes you read yourself, – together in life you and I must go\u201d says the Silava Waltz (Indulis Kalni\u0146\u0161). Is it also destined for Annel\u0117 and Viktor (Elga \u012agenberga), and Kerry and Hirstwood (Raimonds Pauls)? \u201cIf you are me\u201d (Zigm\u0101rs Liepi\u0146\u0161), I am in \u201cSeventh Heaven\u201d (Raimonds Pauls).
