{"id":7348,"date":"2025-03-18T13:59:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-18T11:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/repertuars\/strauss-lehar-and\/"},"modified":"2025-06-03T11:54:59","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T09:54:59","slug":"strauss-lehar-and","status":"publish","type":"repertuars","link":"https:\/\/operetesteatris.lv\/en\/repertoire\/strauss-lehar-and\/","title":{"rendered":"Strauss, Lehar and&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With this concert programme we would like to remind the audience of the enchanting and always popular operetta music, so rarely heard in Latvia for more than 20 years, as well as to invite them to listen to the sounds of Niko Dostal&#8217;s future operetta \u201cCleves\u201d.<\/p>\n\n<p>The concert will feature the outstanding soloists Sonora Vaice, Ingus P\u0113tersons, Nauris Indzeris, Juris \u0100damsons, as well as young talented artists who will have their first encounter with operetta &#8211; Laura Teiv\u0101ne and Em\u012bls Kivlenieks from J\u0101zeps V\u012btols Latvian Academy of Music and Marl\u0113na Keine from Tallinn Conservatoire.<\/p>\n\n<p>They will perform a wide repertoire of operetta music:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Count Orlovsky&#8217;s toast from Strauss&#8217;s operetta \u201cThe Bat\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vilja&#8217;s song from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta \u201cThe Merry Widow\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maritza and Tasilo from Kalman&#8217;s operetta \u201cMaritza\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Erminio singing from Milleker&#8217;s operetta \u201cGasparone\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Barinkaya couplet from Strauss operetta \u201cThe Gypsy Baron\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Juliet&#8217;s aria from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta The Count von Luxembourg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Viola and Johnny&#8217;s duet from Dostal&#8217;s operetta \u201cClevie\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>March of the Hussars from Kalman&#8217;s operetta \u201cThe Circus Princess\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cAh! What&#8217;s for dinner?\u201d from Offenbach&#8217;s operetta \u201cThe Song of Pericles\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Didier and Ren\u00e9 duet from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta The Count von Luxembourg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tasilo&#8217;s aria from Kalman&#8217;s operetta \u201cMaritza\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Judith&#8217;s aria from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta \u201cJudith\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cThe Lips are Silent\u201d from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta \u201cThe Merry Widow\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cI have kissed many\u201d from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta \u201cPaganini\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ziljeta and Brissard&#8217;s duet \u201cLittle Girl, Spulgacit\u201d from Leh\u00e1r&#8217;s operetta \u201cCount von Luxembourg\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bonnie&#8217;s song \u201cWithout Beautiful Women\u201d from Kalman&#8217;s operetta \u201cSilva\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The orchestra will perform pieces from Dostal&#8217;s operetta &#8220;Clevie&#8221; and the polka from Strauss&#8217; operetta &#8220;Pizzicatto&#8221;. Concert-goers will also enjoy dance performances &#8211; the candlelight dance from Kalman&#8217;s operetta &#8220;La Bayadere&#8221; and Strauss&#8217;s waltz. <\/p>\n\n<p>The concert will be hosted by actor Zigurds Neimanis, who will have a lot of fun and will share incidents from the history of operetta. The musical presentation of the concert will be provided by the Operetta Orchestra under the baton of conductor Guntars Bern\u0101tis. <\/p>\n\n<p>The concert is organised by the Riga Musical Theatre in collaboration with the Latvian Operetta Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Enjoy the enchanting world of operetta music with outstanding Latvian soloists!
