Carlsson

Play and fantasy in a musical for everyone from 8 to 80!

Duration: 70 min
Language: Latvian
Recommended age: 8+
Premiere: 09/03/2023

An exciting musical, a lively, witty story by Astrid Lingrene with music by Arne Ott about adulthood and the colourful fantasy world of childhood. A musical for all who are ready to dream, play and tease — for everyone — from eight to eighty!

Play and the joy of improvisation are the essence of this musical. Who will outplay who, outplay who? Is there little possibility of childhood and the adult world meeting? … if only in play and fantasy. Perhaps in the game of life? — Yes, if only a dream unites these two worlds! A dream that begins in childhood.

Who is Carlsson, really – a fantasy of Little Brother’s or a real creature? It’s still a mystery that many have… But Carlsson is every child’s best friend and playmate because he is always unpredictable, ready for friendships and free from parental prejudices and prescriptions. Join in the bun feast, haunt, fly and romp with Carlson and Little Brother!
